Our History
Arafa Pappadam was founded over 20 years ago in Pattambi, Kerala, with a simple mission: to craft traditional pappadams with care and consistency. What began as a small-scale family operation quickly gained recognition for product quality and hygiene. Driven by passion and guided by integrity, the company steadily built trust among local distributors, hotels, and retail outlets across South India. The early years were focused on establishing reliable sourcing, fine-tuning recipes, and creating a name in the competitive food manufacturing space. That legacy continues to guide us even today.
As demand grew, Arafa transitioned into an advanced manufacturing unit. The introduction of fully automated production lines and a climate-controlled drying system marked a major milestone. These upgrades enabled a significant scale-up in output—up to 5,000 kg of pappadam per day—while maintaining uniform quality and hygiene. Our investment in vertical integration, including an in-house flour mill, gives us cost control and consistency unmatched in the market. With this strong foundation, Arafa expanded into institutional supply, white labeling, and packaging innovation—laying the groundwork for global outreach.
